Here are some easy tips to help you keep your houseplants in good condition during the winter season.
Firstly, make sure that you are providing enough light and warmth for your plants. This means keeping them away from drafty windows and using grow lights if possible.
Secondly, water your plants regularly and only when the top of the soil feels dry. Do not overwater them as this can cause root rot. Never allow the soil the become soggy!
Lastly, make sure that you are fertilizing your plants (from October throughout March) no more then once every other month to provide for essential nutrients. For the rest of the year you can fertilize your plants every month to support their growth.
