Shipping Info and Charges

Regardless of the weather conditions, Houseplant Experience will ship orders every day of the year (360 days) from our 'state of the art' packaging- and shipping facilities at both sides of the country.

The packaging materials we use are -of course- environmentally friendly and fully recyclable. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and ship our orders 'carbon neutral' as much as possible.

We generally ship your orders within 2-4 business days.We have partnered with Fedex and with USPS and we ship your order throughout the Contiguous States of the US which ensures fast and professional delivery at all times. (average transit time is 3-5 days)

We advise you to purchase a so-called"heat pack"for areas where it gets below 50 °F in Winter. A heat pack protects your plant(s) from freezing during transit. One heat pack protects up to 4 plants in one shipping carton. (a heat pack doesn't add weight to the total order!)

  • Botanical Name: Hedera helix 'Gold Child'

  • Common Name(s): English Ivy, Common Ivy

  • Description: Attractive, light green-colored foliage marked with yellow edges. One of the best choices for a fast-growing arrangement or ground cover. Easy to grow vining plant that grows fairly quickly.

 Care:

  • Light: Grow Ivy in medium light for best results. It does tolerate low light, but Ivy won't grow as well or last as long in dim spots. Ivy can take bright light indoors, as well, and even a bit of direct sun on its foliage. In general, Ivy varieties that have white variegation on their leaves are more susceptible to damage from too much sun.
  • Pet FriendlyNo
  • WaterWater your Ivy when the top inch or so of the potting mix dries out. If you miss a watering or two and your Ivy wilts, don't worry it should recover after you give it a splash of water. Take care not to overwater Ivy. It's best to keep this houseplant a little too dry than a little too wet.
  • HumidityMedium
  • TemperatureA variegated Ivy tolerates most indoor temperatures, but room temperature of 50° to 70° F during the day and 5° to 10° F lower at night is best.
